Homework:

1.) Math
-complete math worksheet
-complete any incomplete homework from previous days

2.) News
-watch the news tonight (CP24, CityTV etc.) or pick up the newspaper
-summarize at least ONE event (who, what, where, when, why and how= W5H)
-be prepared to share tomorrow

3.) Journal
-complete the journal response from Friday if it is not yet finished (see Friday's post for the questions)

4.) Reading Response
-complete the reading response if you have not yet handed it in on Friday

Highlights:

*We created and exchanged challenging number patterns.
*We discussed themes found in "The Giver" such as freedom, rights, democracy and made world connections between the book and current events. 
*We read the book "The Roses in my Carpet" and discussed the plight of refugees. 
*We played multi-sports in gym today.
